Job Description

Purpose: The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for processing customer payments timely and accurately by recording cash, checks, credit cards, and other forms of payments that are received via lockbox and deposits. This position will require a strong attention to detail and accuracy, and must be able to problem solve and reconcile accounts.

 

Specific duties:

  • Cash application from our lockbox payments we receive including checks, wire transfers, EDI payments, cash and credit card payments and other bank deposits.
  • Confirm completeness and accuracy of payment information to the customer’s accounts.
  • Must have the ability to problem solve/reconcile accounts.
  • Understanding of debits and credits as they apply to the accounts receivable portion of the business.
  • Ability to follow procedures/guidelines assigned to accounts receivable.
  • Continual contact with customers in regards to questions on payments.
  • Must be able to perform the job from start to finish and have the ability to follow up on all accounts receivable activity in a timely manner.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is of the utmost importance.
  • The skills necessary to work well with fellow employees and customers.
  • Prepare daily A/R reports.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • 1+ years of related work experience preferred
  • All applicants must pass the company paid substance abuse screening.
