Job Description

Purpose: The Oil Depot/Wastewater Treatment Plant - Facility Manager is responsible for all the following activities at the Oil Depot and WWTP:

 

  • This position will direct and coordinate all processing activities including identifying the processing limitations and capabilities of staff and equipment to effectively process all received materials. 
  • The Oil Depot/WWTP Facility Manger will direct on-site transfers and loading/off-loading activities and all scheduling of tankers, railcars, and box trailers with the Corporate Logistics department and the Customer Service group. 
  • This position is responsible for all Operating site personnel and oversees their activity on a daily basis. 
  • The processing operations may include the dehydration of Used Oil, Wastewater treatment process, processing of drummed waste, and solidification are all part of the Facility Manager’s responsibilities.
  • Maintaining compliance with all permits that are associated with these processes.
  • Responsible for inventory management at the site, including interfacing with sales for fulfilling sales orders, coordinating disposal shipments with third party treatment and disposal facilities, and overseeing the transfer of feedstock into the site for processing. 
  • All supporting purchasing activities and all corporate reporting for this department are the responsibility of this position.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for working safely in all job aspects and functions.
  • Promotes and fosters safety and efficiency in all WWTF employees and activity.
  • Outlines daily/weekly/monthly objectives and activity for WWTF employees.
  • Provides daily/weekly/monthly updates to senior management on WWTF activity.
  • Maintains WWTF compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local requirements.
  • Maintains accurate records of WWTF activity.
  • Delivers training and counseling to employees to promote personal and employment growth.
  • Assists in various job capacities to support efficient operations, when necessary.
  • Coordinate scheduling of railcars, tankers, box trailers into and out of the facility
  • Develop procedures and oversee training of all employees under his/her supervision
  • Report activities to Operations Management and Corporate Accounting

    

Other Duties

  • Provides support for other Operations functions and performs other duties as may be assigned and directed by Director Of Operations AF & WWTF

Work Experience:

  • Supervisory experience required
  • Processing experience with relevant processes required
  • Shipping and Receiving experience required in similar industries and similar volumes
  • Experience with managing within regulatory (RCRA, DOT, OSHA) environment required

 

Education, Certificates, Licenses, or Designations:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • High school diploma or its equivalent required

 

Specific Skills:

  • Supervision skills
  • Basic knowledge of Word and Outlook Required
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

 

Work Environment: While performing essential duties of this position an individual regularly works both outdoors and indoors, with moderate physical activity including, walking, lifting objects up to 30 pounds and climbing. Individual will be required to regularly talk, hear, see and often reach with hands, stand, walk, use a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment.
