Job Description

Purpose: The Recruiter is responsible for managing the hiring process for open positions while remaining compliant with all EEOC and OFCCP guidelines and recording keeping requirements. This role will provide full cycle recruitment of both exempt/non-exempt positions in a fast paced work environment.

Essential Duties:

  • Work closely with Hiring Manager(s) to:
    • Develop position profiles to understand overall needs and requirements
    • Determine appropriate sourcing strategies for each position
    • Educate hiring managers on the recruiting process and their involvement in the process
    • Create comprehensive job descriptions based on manager and Company specifications
  • Recruit the most qualified candidates by:
    • Using Company approved recruitment sources
    • Projecting Company needs and building strong applicant pools before a need arises
    • Designing creative and effective recruitment tools
  • Select the most qualified candidates for interviews by:
    • Use industry standards to ensure that we are using best practices
    • Review all applicants and make a selection of candidates that will move forward in the interview process based on meeting pre-employment requirements, qualifications, skills, and abilities
    • Perform phone interviews and reference checks.
  • Ensure Company compliance with EEOC, OFCCP, Federal and State laws and regulations.
  • Keep accurate records of recruiting sources used and applicant log tracking.
  • Solicit feedback to improve the hiring process, reduce turnover, and improve talent acquisition.
  • Meet the performance metrics as defined by the Company.

            Core Competencies

  • Must have exceptional oral (phone), written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A broad knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law
  • Individual must be highly organized with ability to accurately document information
  • The desire to work with and develop new and innovative recruitment tools
  • Strong networking ability
  • Self-confidence combined with the willingness to learn and apply new skills, terminology, and concepts as they apply to the recruiting process
  • Must be available to work a flexible work schedule due to the availability of candidates. (Occasional nights and weekends may be required)
  • Ability to build strong relationships and positively influence candidates and colleagues.
  • Present a positive image of Heritage-Crystal Clean to fellow employees, external contacts, the general public

 

            Work Experience

  • 2-4 years full cycle/high volume recruitment experience preferred, or equivalent education and work experience

 

            Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of rules and regulations surrounding Affirmative Action programs as outlined by the OFCCP

 

            Education, Certificates, Licenses, or Designations

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field

 

            Specific Skills

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and external job boards necessary
  • Previous experience with HRIS preferred

 

Work Environment: While performing essential duties of this position an individual regularly works indoors, and may be required to sit for long periods. Individual will be required to regularly talk, hear, see and often reach with hands, stand, walk, use a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment.
