Position Objective:

The Plant Operator – Lead is responsible for all activities at the facility. This position will coordinate all processing, on-site transfers and loading/off-loading activities and all scheduling of tankers, railcars, and box trailers with the Corporate Logistics department and the Customer Service group. This position is responsible for coordinating the activities of all Operating site personnel and oversees the daily operations. This position is responsible for inventory management at the site, including interfacing with sales to fulfill sales orders, coordinating disposal shipments with third party treatment and disposal facilities, and overseeing the transfer of feedstock in to the site for processing. All supporting purchasing activities for the facility is the responsibility of this position. The safe and compliant operation of this facility is the utmost deliverable of this role.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for working safely in all job aspects and functions
  • Promotes and fosters compliance and efficiency in all facility activities
  • Outlines daily/weekly/monthly objectives and activity for Oil Depot employees
  • Provides regular status updates to director of facilities
  • Maintains facility compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local requirements.
  • Maintains accurate records of facility activity.
  • Coordinates scheduling of railcars, tankers, box trailers into and out of the facility
  • Develop procedures and oversee training of all employees at this location
  • Maintain and update process/safety/equipment reading/log sheets to record conditions
  • Operates (boilers processes equipment) performs various inspections.
  • Lead a team of operators setting expectations and goals as well as managing projects and contractors as needed
  • Maintain housekeeping standards
  • Facilitate safety meetings with a goal of developing a behavior-based safety culture at this location

Job Requirements

Work Experience

  • 5+ years of related experience

 

            Education, Certificates, Licenses, Designations or Memberships

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Vocational training preferred
  • Experience in chemical processing environment preferred

 

            Personal Protective Equipment

  • Steel toe boots, Safety Glasses, Hard Hat, Respirator

 

Requirements:

 

All applicants must pass the company paid physical exam including substance abuse screening.

 

Work Environment: While performing essential duties of this position an individual regularly works both outdoors and indoors, with moderate physical activity including, walking, lifting objects up to 30 pounds and climbing. Individual will be required to regularly talk, hear, see and often reach with hands, stand, walk, use a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment.
