Job Description

Purpose: The Receptionist and Switchboard Operator will be responsible for greeting customers, providing front line receptionist support, and answering/routing Company phone calls in a timely and professional manner.

Specific duties:

  • Welcome visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquires
  • Maintains and answers the switchboard and phone in a professional manner
  • Accurate routing and distribution of incoming phone calls
  • Maintains incoming/outgoing mail and packages, and ensures shipment with delivery personnel
  • Provides exceptional customer service by building relationships and providing informed, prompt, professional, accurate service and support.
  • Uses Company knowledge to answer general inquiries
  • General office duties 
  • Other duties assigned

Position Qualification Requirements:

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of 1 or more years of business or customer service experience
  • Experience with handling high call volumes 

Education, Certificates, Licenses, or Designations:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Work Environment: While performing essential duties of this position an individual regularly works indoors, and may be required to sit for long periods. Individual will be required to regularly talk, hear, see and often reach with hands, stand, walk, use a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment.
